Keeping in mind the importance of maintaining a cordial relationship with the Alumni for the overall growth of the institution, the FAC Internal Alumni Committee organized an ‘Alumni Meet 2021’ on the 4th of October 2021 at the College Auditorium afternoon. The gathering was to provide an opportunity for the Alumni to retrospect, reconnect, renew and relive the memories of college life and making them realise their potentials as valuable resources in helping their Alma Mater scale greater heights. The Alumni Meet consisted of two sessions. In the first Session, Ms. Bendangsenla, Asstt. Professor, Dept. of English, FAC chaired the first session. She welcomed the Alumni back to the college. Mr. Imkummeren, Youth Promoter, Alempang Baptist Church & friend presented a special number and also led the gathering for the college Anthem. Mr. Sentilong Ozukum, SDO(C) Mokokchung also an Alumni of the college spoke on the topic ‘My Alma Mater’. Dwelling on Pablo Picasso's quote “The meaning of life is to find your gift, the purpose of life is to give it away”, he encouraged everyone present to be ‘Servant leaders’. For which he cited was the best model of leadership and also to reinvent our lives everyday, never stop learning, not to remain complacent but to find meaning and purpose in life. The vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Adangla Changkija, HoD, Dept. of Sociology & Co - Convenor, FAC Internal Alumni Committee. The program ended with a Special Prayer for Alumni by Rev. Ponen Longchar, Pastor, MTBA.
The second Business Session was chaired by Dr. Lanurenla, IQAC Coordinator & HoD, Dept. of English, FAC. She shared the vision and mission as well as the profile of the college and also the necessity of having a well structured Alumni Committee. Office bearers for the Alumni Association was also proposed by a Nomination Committee. The business session ended with a heartfelt acknowledgement by the chairperson who thanked all the Alumni present for making the day an event to remember.
